He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter and Edna; and his siblings, Corrine, Richard, Eric and David.

He is survived by: his friend Larry Vernon Thomas; his children, Penny Vandale and Poncho (Larry) Vandale (Shawn-Kelly); his stepchildren, Cheryl, Stephine and Courtney; and his brothers, Jim, Charles and Dale. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
