He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his son Glen; his sister Gladys Purvis; and his siblings-in-law, John Purvis and Bette Berglund.

He is survived by: his son Dale (Marie); his grandchildren, Katherine, Kevin and David (Devon); his great grandchild Elena; his siblings, Elsie Wood (Gerald) and Ron Berglund; and his brother-in-law David "Bob" Donald (Lona). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
