Louise Friesen Obituary
We bid farewell to Louise Friesen (Winnipeg, Manitoba), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 27, 2025 at the age of 96. Louise touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johann Wiens and Helena Wiens of Morden; her husband George Friesen; her daughter-in-law Carol Friesen; her great grandchild Owen; and her siblings, Mary Hoeppner, John Wiens, Helen Langeman, Jake Wiens, Justina Peters and Hank Wiens.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Friesen (Irene Friesen Wolfstone), Paul (Ann Friesen), Phil (Karen Friesen), Grace (Orest Pelech) and David (Alana Friesen); her sister Erna Bergmann; and her in-laws, Elvira Friesen, Annelie, Henry Enns, Helen Friesen and Phyllis Friesen. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Friends Funeral Service (2146 Main St, Winnipeg, MB R2V3S5). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Bethel Mennonite Church (465 Stafford St, Winnipeg, MB R3M2E2).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louise's memory to Mennonite Central Committee or ShareWord Global.
