He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia (Candaele) and Mike; and his siblings, Elsie Giguere, Robert and Hilaire.

He is survived by: his children, Darlene (Mark Lamont) and David (Tamara Subtelny); his grandchildren, Jack, Duncan, Emma, Heather, John and Eddie; and his brother Albert (Darlene Byford). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
