It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Lao of Winnipeg, Manitoba, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her children, Dina LaForges and Sal Lao (Ibi); her grandchildren, Annette Loewen, Mark LaForges (Teresa), Dave Lao (Meghan), Amanda Lao (Andrew) and Natasha Lao (Joe); her great grandchildren, Ethan, Gavin, Isabella, Rocco and Delle; her siblings, Licia LoVetri, Francesco Catanese (Santina), Gina Giordano and Congetta Collerone; her parents-in-law, Sebastian Lao, Nunzio Lao (Rosa), Gaetano Lao (Vicenza), Santina Lao, Teresa Lao and Salvatore Pagliuca; her friend Belgium; her husband Girolamo Lao; and her parents, Nunzio Catanesse and Assunta Catanesse. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins.
Due to COVID restriction the mass will be limited to immediate family members only.
