She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Antonina and Walter; her husband Donald; her children, Donna (Michael) and Garry (Denis); her grandson Phillip; and her son-in-law Wayne. She was also cherished by her family, extended relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Mary's memory to the Polar Bear Rescue & Care Team at Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to support a cause close to her heart.
