Nadia Olga Karan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nadia Olga Karan (Winnipeg, Manitoba), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 20, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olympia Stoyko and Harry Stoyko; her brother Steve Stoyko; her sister-in-law Gail Stoyko; her brother Ted; and her sister-in-law June Stoyko.
She is survived by: her husband Edward Karan; her children, Beverly Pope (Mark Pope), Terry Karan and Marilyn Kess (Paul Kess); her grandchildren, Crystal Greenaway (Matthew Greenaway), Tyler Kess (Michele Kess), Vanessa Kess (Robbie Kalid), Evan Pope (Bryanna Halabura) and Benson Pope (Turner Leggero); her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Viola, Ethan, Brady and Isaac; her brother Wally Stoyko; and her sister-in-law Rose Stoyko. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church (737 Bannerman Ave, Winnipeg, MB R2X1J9).
