He was predeceased by: his parents, Decio Vacchio and Lucia Vacchio; and his siblings, Filippo, Guiseppe and Maria Giordano.

He is survived by: his wife Gerardina; his children, Armida Zedda (Claudio Zedda), Antonella Vacchio and Marcello Vacchio (Dorothy); his brothers, Michele Vacchio, Antonio Vacchio (Rita) of Oklahoma, Guglielmo (Memo) and Aurelio Vacchio (Anna); and his brothers-in-law, Albino Cefalo (Felicia) and Mario Cefalo (Kelly). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
