She was predeceased by: her parents, George Oktaba and Katherine Oktaba; her siblings, Josie France, Rose Merlo, Stella Shchepanik and Bill Oktaba; and her brothers-in-law, Walter Shchepanik and Leo Merlo.
She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Cottrell; her children, Lynda (Ben Kitzan), Terry, Doug, Les (Lori) and Warren (Teresa); her great grandchildren, Kyla, Aleisha, Jason, Morgan, Amy, Ian, Bryce, Erin and David; and her sisters-in-law, Georgina Henderson and Susan Oktaba. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
