He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Stachnyk and Anna Stachnyk; his siblings, Leon, Myron and Nettie; his niece Laura; and his brother-in-law Lynn.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his siblings, Walter, Doris (Bill) and Ollie; his siblings-in-law, John (Marlene) and Marie; his goddaughter Laurie; Kolby and Rogan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
