He was predeceased by: his wife Esther Merle Mackie (Gilson). He is survived by: his brothers, Bill (Alice), Norman (Helen), Harold (Edna) and Walter; his sons, Douglas (Joann) and Brent (Andrea); his grandchildren, Myra (Garrett Single), Brydan (Rebecca), Caitlin, Spencer (Kayla) and Fiona; and also Mary Middleton (Bill). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
