He was predeceased by: his mother Agnes Maria Irene Hart; his sisters, Yvonne Carriere, Denise Spence and Deidre Hart; and his grandparents, Jeanette, Alexander Chubb, Ruth Hart and Elijah Robinson.

He is survived by: his wife Cindi Grieves; his children, Adrienne, Michelle and Richard V. Hart; his grandchildren, Katherine, Trevor, Harrison Tillett, Elias, James, Emma and Charlotte Colon; his father Richard Hart Sr.; and his brother Jason Hart (Phyllis).
