It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard James Hughes (Winnipeg, Manitoba), who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Ellen; and his grandparents, Harold, Marjorie Hughes, George, Thora Walsh and John Taylor.

He is survived by: the mother of his children Mel; his father Alfred; his stepfather Kris; his brother Allan (Lisa); his niece Kaylen (Cole); his great-nephew Maverick; his sister Jessica (Ian); his niece Tabitha; his stepbrother Jason; his grandparents, Jim, Lenore Byrne and Phyllis Taylor; his aunts and uncles, Bill (Kim), Phil (Christina), Debbie (Rolly), Donna (Ed), George, Tim, Sue (Ted), Larry, Marlene, Dawn and Monica; his cousins, Jeremy (Naomi), Devan, Alida (Trevor), Claire, Jackie and Taigan (Kevin); and also, Sydney, Madeline and Keren. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
