He was predeceased by: his wife Vivian (Minton); and his parents, John Morton and Annie (Gillan). He is survived by: his sister Helen Strang (Richard) of Cape Breton; his niece Linda Hoban (Daniel) of Calgary; and his nephews, Bob (Jillian), Peter, Brian (Colleen) and Michael (Jocelyn) of Winnipeg.
