He was predeceased by: his former wife Ferne; his parents, Marie and Alexandre; and his siblings, Leonard, Conrad, Peter, Flora, Georgette, Evelyn and Claudette.
He is survived by: his close friend Sharon; his children, Todd (Julie) and Nicole (Manny); his grandchildren, Alexander, Emma, Isabelle and Jonah; his sisters, Julie and Del; and his spouse Feme. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Aboriginal Sport Achievement Centre in his memory.
