He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Probetts and Hazel Probetts; his wife Irene Probetts; his sister-in-law Shirley Wood; his nephews, Garry, Randy and Ron Wood; and his grandson Jessie Wade.

He is survived by: his children, Bruce Probetts (Linda) and Tannis Probetts (Lee); his sister Barbara Probetts; and his grandchildren, Samantha Probetts, Cara Coulombe (Steve), Cal Probetts (Grace), Aaron Anderson (Amy), Meghan Wade (Val), Dale Williamson and Nebrazka Martins (Dustin). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
