He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Greg, Denise Yakimenko (Dennis) and Murray (Pamela); his grandchildren, Alex Yakimenko (Veronika), Evan Yakimenko and Bailey Rostek; his siblings, Ed (Gerda) and Martha Schlicting; and his sisters-in-law, Agatha Dyck and Lorna Stewart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (4000 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3K1W3).
