He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob and Elisabeth; and his siblings, Ernest, Otto, Helen and Susan.

He is survived by: his former wife Marianne Neufeld; his wife Justina; his children, Vic (Kathy), Doug (Val), Rennie (John) and Lori (Erwin); his grandchildren, David, Jason, Michael, Derek, Lindsey, Jonathan, Alanna, Heather, Meghan, Mia, Simon and Sophie; his great grandchildren, Robinson, Leo, Isla, Veda and Hudson; his brother Jake; and his sister-in-law Margaret. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

He looked at me and said, "I changed my mind" It make me chuckle. And then there was Covid.
