She was predeceased by: her siblings, Else (Helmut), Irma (John) and Reinhold; and her brother-in-law Walter. She is survived by: her husband Erwin Duester; her children, Waldy (Maureen), Dieter (Rose), Heidi, Chris (Elisha) and Annelie (Miguel); her grandchildren, Evan and Holly; her children, Connor, Curtis (Arianna), Victoria, Jakob, Leah, Elijah, Aleksa and Kaeleigh; her sister Hildegard; and her sisters-in-law, Eileen and Anna (Franz). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the North Kildonan MB Church (1315 Gateway Rd, Winnipeg, MB R2G0J4). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Glen Eden Memorial Gardens (4477 Main St, West Saint Paul, MB R4A2A8).
