She was predeceased by: her husband Karl Olafson; her parents, Oskar Kouhi and Hulda Kouhi; and her siblings, Alex, George, Walter, Kauko, Leo, Edward, Aili and Irene.
She is survived by: her children, David and Karen (Leo Larocque); her grandchildren, Jordan and Danielle; and her sister-in-law Gail Olofson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
