He was predeceased by: his wife Graziella Cammarata; his siblings, Francesco Lao, Girolamo Lao, Vincenzo Lao and Antonietta Pagliuca; his parents, Corrado Lao and Salvatrice Lao; and his siblings-in-law, Maria Crupi, Philip Crupi and Michele Cammarata.
He is survived by: his children, Salvina Colavito (Harvey), Corrado Lao (Cindy) and Giuseppina Proskurnik; his brothers, Nunzio Lao (Rosa) and Gaetano Lao (Vincenza); and his sisters-in-law, Teresa Lao, Enza Maiorino (Liberato) and Santina Lao. He is also survived by grand children, great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
