She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Thorburn and Walter Thorburn. She is survived by: her husband Ian Marks; her daughters, Dale (Tony), Heather (Jason) and Denise (Trevor); her grandchildren, Aidan, Sydney, Chloe, Avery and Hannah; and her uncle Alec. She is also survived by her many dogs as her childhood best friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sharon's name to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Liver Foundation.
