She was predeceased by: her husbands, Brian F. Kaltenberger and Ken Carswell; and her parents, Gerardina Buhr and Jacobus Swanenburg. She is survived by: her children, Brian, Sheila, Shelley, Floyd, Mark and Laura; her grandchildren, Brian, Jessica, Ashley, Sean, Nicci, Mark, Kaci, Kent, Jay, Jahnai, Cortney and Andrew; her great grandchildren, Cory, Hannah, Rachel, Claire, Marlies, Rylan, Everly, Harris, Noah, Karsen, Taliyah and Madisyn; and her sisters, Britta (James) and Ingrid (Jerry).
She never forgot her early adult years of financial difficulties and donations to Christmas hampers were a priority.
