She was predeceased by: her husband John; her siblings, Nellie, Jim, Ed and Andrew; her stepchildren, Bernice, Walter and Stanley; her daughters-in-law, Joanne, Loretta and Fran; and her parents, Peter Bannish and Annie Bannish.

She is survived by: her daughter Frances; her son-in-law Peter Skazyk; her son Patrick Grochowich; her brother Frank Bannish (Verna); her stepson Steve Grochowich; her stepgrandchildren, Karen, Kristine, Garry, Ken, Larry, Janice, Crystal and Carrie; and also Ann. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations in honour of Sophie may be made to Notre Dame Church or a charity of your choice.
