She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Nazar and Nicholas Nazar; and her sister Irene Chomiak. She is survived by: her husband Adam Romanchuk; her children, Kathy, Dan (Amy) and Susan (Jason); her grandchildren, Jadianne, Josh and Jackson; her niece Carolyn; her nephew Michael; her brother Eric; and her grandchildren, Robyn Drysdale, Olivia Romanchuk, Garrett Graham and Chris Chomiak.

Memorials or donations may be made in Sylvia's name to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
