He was predeceased by: his parents, Regina and Hendrikus; and his siblings, Riek, Willy, Gerry and Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Cecile; his children, Ed (Deanna), Sandra (Thomas), Jack (Lesley) and Diane (Jacques); his grandchildren, Shayl (Angela), Jackson, Max, Ben, Camryn, Danielle, Thea and Trinity; his parents-in-law, Greta (Noelline), Hank (Mia), Tina, Helen and John (Anne-Marie); and his friend Ted.
