He was predeceased by: his wife Christine; his son Joseph Thomas; his siblings, Phyllis and Steve (Eileen); and his parents, Justyna Podborochynski and Michael Podborochynski.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie (Chris), Cyndi, Gerry (Tammy) and Kathy (Peter); his grandchildren, Breanne, Rayna (Jay), Justin (Kaitlyn), Kaitlin (Andrii), Tanner, Haley, Grace, Jesse (Krista) and Brooke (Brett); his great grandchildren, Stella, Arlo, Flora, Ellis and Etta; and his sister Anne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Family Home and St. Peter's Church. The family also encourages blood donations to Canadian Blood Services in Thomas's honour.
