She was predeceased by : her parents, John Banman and Justina Banman; her husband Kenneth Schaak; her brother John Banman; her sister-in-law Lavern; her brother Jake Banman; and her siblings-in-law, Carol and Henry Funk.

She is survived by : her daughter Gwen Peters (Peter); her grandchildren, Kristin Wiebe (Matt), Marcie Peters and Ryan Peters; and her siblings, Elsie Bergen (Isaac), Ike Banman (Elsie), Jesse Funk, Abe Banman (Shirley) and Fred Banman (Kim). She is also survived by three great grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wiebe Funeral Home - Winkler (121 8 St, Winkler, MB R6W0M1). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at 120 Pineview Dr, Winkler, MB R6W1T3.
