He was predeceased by: his sister Melaine Atkinson; and his grandfather Leo Hastmann. He is survived by: his son Rylan Atkinson; his parents, Alma Goulet (Marcel) and Brian Atkinson; his siblings, Amanda Clark (Dave), Michael Atkinson (Crystal) and Brittany Atkinson; and his grandmother Gertrude Hastmann. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends.
