He was predeceased by: his daughter Shirley; and his siblings, John, Olga, Anne and Frieda.
He is survived by: his wife Jenny; his children, Arnold (Wilma), Joan and Charlene; his son-in-law Arne Thomassen; and his grandchildren, Darren Vanessa (Nicole), Kendall (Sarah) and Carson. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
