Werner Giesbrecht Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Werner Giesbrecht (Winnipeg, Manitoba) is shared. Werner passed away on August 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter and Katherine; his brother Peter; his parents-in-law, Peter and Susie Schmidt; and his siblings-in-law, Leslie and Hank Plenert.
He is survived by: his wife Annita; his children, Shannon Vezey (Jon), Gregory (Tara) and Timothy (Sunny); his grandchildren, Raine, Evan, Benjamin, Natasha, Olivia, Aubrey, Harper and Archer; his siblings, Arthur (Linda), Frances Luba (Wayne) and Walter; and his sisters-in-law, Verna, Irene (Peter) and Hilda (Plenert). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Mennonite Church (922 Notre Dame Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E0N5).
