She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Sheffar and Jean Sheffar (Parsons); her brother Allison; her father-in-law Austin Douthwright; and her sisters-in-law, Cindy Simpson and Ellen Beal.

She is survived by: her husband Terry Douthwright; her children, Meaghan Douthwright of Saint John and Conner Douthwright (Kelsey) of Lakeland, NS; her granddaughter Adelynn "Addie"; her siblings, Kevin Sheffar (Donna) of Windsor, NS, Darrell Sheffar of Saint John, Brian Sheffar (Madelyn) of Petitcodiac, Graham Sheffar of Saint John and Candace Carr (Jack) of Sussex; her sister-in-law Evelyn Sheffar of Saint John; her mother-in-law Joan Douthwright; and her sisters-in-law, Joy Snelgrove (Donny) and Shelley Douthwright (Dana). She is also survived by family and many friends.
