She was predeceased by: her parents, Émile Melanson and Zila Melanson (LeBlanc); and her sisters, Évariste, Irois, Jeannine Cormier, Géraldine Gaudet (Roger), Alfreda Melanson, Claudette Pellerin, Zita Bourque and Lisette Gautreau.
She is survived by: her husband Léo-Paul; her sisters, Mathilda Gautreau of Dieppe, Yvonne Cormier (Donald) of Scoudouc, Irma Melanson (late Donald) of Scoudouc and Berthe Fagan (Edwin) of Scoudouc; and her siblings-in-law, Florence Hébert of Dieppe, Florence Wilson of Moncton, Rose-Marie Melanson of Shediac, Aldéi Melanson of Shediac and Ulysse Bourque of Shediac.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Centre Funéraire Frenette Funeral Centre (396 Main St, Shediac, NB E4P2G1). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre (396 Main St, Shediac, NB E4P2G1).
