She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Gallant and Edna Gallant (Goldrup); and her siblings, Leonard, Jack, Rene and Dorothy.

She is survived by: her husband Normand Blanchard; her daughters, Nicole Blanchard (Andrew MacNeil) of Halifax, NS and Louise Blanchard (Marc Basque) of Bathurst; her grandchildren, David, Philip, Isabel, Sarah, Allison, Jacob and Malia; and her siblings, Denis Gallant (Rosa) of Allardville, Clarence "Clary" Gallant (Rose-Marie) of Allardville, Frederic "Freddy" Gallant (Jeanne) of Bathurst, Jimmy Gallant of Toronto, ON., Joanne Gauvin (Fernand) of Allardville and Joyce Ellis (Blaine) of Moncton.
