He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Butland and Mabel Butland (Yensen); his siblings, Mayme, Carl, Douglas, Edmund (Edna) and Henry (Jean); his brother-in-law Steve Lifsches; and his in-laws, Vincent and Kay Duffy.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Butland; his sons, Tony Butland (Annick) of Moncton, Glen Butland (Bryna) of Hopewell Hill and Ryan Butland (Melissa) of Alma; his grandchildren, Megan (Sebastian), Tyler, Danika (Shawn), Kaylin (Wyatt), Brooklyn, Mackenzie, Angus and Madison; his siblings, Frances McKinley of Riverview, Floyd Butland (Barbara), Earl Butland (Lois) of Riverview and Clark Butland (Brenda) of Alma; and his siblings-in-law, Ethel Butland of Riverside-Albert, Judy Lifsches of Fredericton, Colleen Hayes (Eddie) of Benton and Albert Hagerman of Fredericton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
