Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Claude Allen Butland of Alma, New Brunswick, who passed away at the age of 78, on June 14, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Butland and Mabel Butland (Yensen); his siblings, Mayme, Carl, Douglas, Edmund (Edna) and Henry (Jean); his brother-in-law Steve Lifsches; and his in-laws, Vincent and Kay Duffy.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Butland; his sons, Tony Butland (Annick) of Moncton, Glen Butland (Bryna) of Hopewell Hill and Ryan Butland (Melissa) of Alma; his grandchildren, Megan (Sebastian), Tyler, Danika (Shawn), Kaylin (Wyatt), Brooklyn, Mackenzie, Angus and Madison; his siblings, Frances McKinley of Riverview, Floyd Butland (Barbara), Earl Butland (Lois) of Riverview and Clark Butland (Brenda) of Alma; and his siblings-in-law, Ethel Butland of Riverside-Albert, Judy Lifsches of Fredericton, Colleen Hayes (Eddie) of Benton and Albert Hagerman of Fredericton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Albert County Funeral Home (4130 NB-114, Hopewell Cape, NB E4H). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alma Volunteer Fire Department or if you could donate Blood as Claude had a rare blood disease and it would mean a lot to his family as he relied on these transfusions.
