It is with sadness that the passing of Josephine Marie Patterson (Back Bay, New Brunswick) is shared. Josephine, born on January 14, 1951, passed away on September 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wesley H. Patterson; her parents, Frederick Hanley and Bessie Hanley (Leavitt); her son Steven Patterson; and her siblings, Donald Hanley, Judith Hanley, Melva Parker and Geraldine Patterson.
She is survived by: her sons, Thomas Patterson (Laurie) of Back Bay, NB and Scott Patterson (Daisy) of Back Bay, NB; her daughter-in-law Ava Mullins of Blacks Harbour, NB; her grandchildren, Cassidy Patterson, Cailey Fernie (Patrick), Keaton Patterson, Jaxen Patterson and Renee Patterson; her great grandchild Fallon Fernie of Back Bay, NB; her grandsons, Frederick Hanley of Back Bay, NB, Ernest Hanley of Back Bay, NB, Larry Hanley (Carole) of Back Bay, NB and Rev. Vincent Hanley (Mary) of Pictou, NS; and her sisters, Linda Barwell of Back Bay, NB, Dora McCurdy of Back Bay, NB, Iona Thompson of Back Bay, NB and Leona MacDonald (Burton) of Kouchibouguac, NB. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Sea View Full Gospel Church (195 Back Bay Loop Rd, Back Bay, NB E5C2W3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at the Back Bay Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sea View Full Gospel Church Ladies Missionary in Josephine's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
