It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Aquila J. Despres of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, who passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arcade Despres and Dorina Despres (Daigle); and his brothers, Arcade Jr. and Adrien. He is survived by: his wife Carmella Despres (Daigle); his daughters, Carole Despres (Marc) of Baie-Sainte, Dorca Robichaud (Daniel) of Baie-Sainte, Gisele Despres (Elie) of Baie-Sainte, Murielle Martin (Michel) of Baie-Sainte, Gail Martin (Eric) of Baie-Sainte and Suzie Despres of Baie-Sainte; his grandchildren, Daniel, Gabriel, Brandon, Placide, Noah, Renaud, Jessica, Lucas, Cody, Taylor and Nick; his stepgrandchildren, Jeremie and Nicholas; and his siblings, Aline Berube (Benoit) of Baie-Sainte, Monique Despres of Aldouane, NB, Roger Despres (Denise) of Baie-Sainte and Ronald Despres (late Susan) of Miramichi, NB. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, July 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sister Blondine Martin Slumber Room (5353 NB-117, Baie-Sainte-Anne, NB E9A1E4). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Anne Catholic Church (5353 NB-117, Baie-Sainte-Anne, NB E9A1E4).
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Diabetes Association of New Brunswick or Miramichi SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
