He was predeceased by: his parents, Eloi Martin and Aurella Martin (Durelle); and his siblings, Ade Martin, Placide Martin and Patricia Martin.
He is survived by: his pets, Jeff, Titte-Fille, Lily, Basil and Tabatha; his wife Tabatha Meuse; his sons, Jeremy Martin of Miramichi and Stephen Meuse (Nadine LeBlanc) of Baie-Sainte; his grandchildren, Jepson and Kaylee; his siblings, Lucy of Escuminac, Merina Arsenault (Leonard) of Warwick Settlement, Alida Martin (Raymond) of Sainte-Ignace, NB, Ernest Martin (Nora) of Canso, Eloi Jr. "Hank" Martin of Escuminac and Roger Martin (Connie) of St. Margaret's, NB; his sisters-in-law, Connie Martin of Baie-Sainte, Amanda Boucher of Riverview, NB and Jeannine McIntyre (Sylvain) of Sainte-Marie; and his nephews, Placide "Junior" Manuel of Bouctouche, Martin (Jocelyne) of Bouctouche and Mike Martin of Bouctouche. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
As expressions of sympathy, donations in Basil's memory may be made to the Miramichi SPCA in honour of his lifelong love of animals.
