He was predeceased by : his parents, Albénie Martin and Marthe-Élise Martin; his wife Sylvia Martin; and his siblings, Alonzo, Eldric, Antonio, Blandine Martin and Noëlla (Clifford).
He is survived by : his sons, Maurice (Lisa) of Baie Ste, Etienne (Janie) of Baie Ste, Gervais Jr. (Shirley) of Baie Ste and Donald (Sylvie) of Saint Louis; his grandchildren, Yves, Jonelle, Josée, Alexandre, William and Koralee; his great grandchild Savannah; his sisters, Irma (late Normand) and Antoinette (Alvin); and his caregiver Jackie (Val). He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and friends.
