She was predeceased by: her parent Walter Smith; her husband Nicholas; her grandson Joshua; and her sisters, Edith and Kathleen.

She is survived by: her parent Marian Smith (Ball); her children, Colin (Ruth) of Whitby, Gillian (Janet) of Saint John and Mark (Rachel) of Nepean; and her grandchildren, Christine, Harrison, Evangeline, Nicholas, Daniel and Victoria. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
