He was predeceased by: his parent Simon Hachey; his daughter Lorraine Arbeau; and his siblings, Armand, Benoit, Jeannine and Gertrude.

He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth Hachey (Lanteigne); his children, Jean-Pierre "Peter" (Debbie) of Nova Scotia, Louis (Vera) of Nova Scotia, Richard (Michelle) of Nova Scotia and Lynn Noël (Dave) of Nigadoo; his grandchildren, Alex Lynn, Robbie Lynn, Jennifer Lynn, Erica Lynn, Erin Lynn and Jamie Lynn; his child Berthe Hachey of Bathurst; and his son-in-law Ken Arbeau of Moncton.
