She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas Hinton of Bridge St; her parents, Francis Irving and Gladys Scott (Knowles); and her siblings, Edward Scott and Lois Knowles.

She is survived by: her sister Ella Parkin (late John) of Moncton; and her sibling's children, Evan Scott of Janeville, Alan Scott of Fredericton, John Knowles of Alberta, Kathy Dunsten of Nova Scotia, Millis Haché of Miramichi and Joan Knowles of British Columbia.

Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the First United Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
