He is survived by: his wife Hermeline Maurice (Guitard); his daughters, Carol Godin of Bathurst and Helen Godin of Bathurst; his stepchildren, Suzie Maurice of Bathurst, Joel of Bathurst, Serge of Bathurst and Alain (Jazmine) of Sault St; and his siblings, Gilles (Marie Claire) of Bathurst, Kenneth (Edwidge) of Paquetville, Andréa Godin of Burlington, ON and Connie Morais (Bobby) of Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Claude may be made to the Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
