He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Arseneau and Frances Arseneau (Christie); and his siblings, Aurèle, Rennie, Leandre, Eric, Rita, Evelyn and Leona.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Arseneau (Boucher); his sons, Donald (Elizabeth) of South Tetagouche and Glenn (Catherine) of Gloucester Junction; his grandsons, Dominic (Marsha) and Mathieu (Nathalie) of Bathurst; his great grandchildren, Mariane and Félix of Bathurst; and his siblings, James Arseneau (Anita) of Toronto, ON., Betty Hall of Riverview, NB, Regina Calnan of Bathurst, NB and Angie MacIntosh of Calgary, AB..
