He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Lavigne and Geraldine Lavigne (Jennings); his daughter Amanda Lee Lavigne; and his sisters, Audrey Lavigne and Barbara Mazerolle.

He is survived by: his children, Matthew Lavigne (Alicia Staels) of New Lowell, ON, Carlene Kristel Lavigne of Bathurst and Amber Lee Lavigne of Bathurst; his stepchildren, Daniel Gauthier of Bathurst, Susan Lavigne (Terry) of South Tetagouche, Michel Gauthier of Pictou, NS, Jean-Marc Gauthier of Saint John, NB and Mathieu Lahay of Bathurst; his granddaughters, Chloe Faith Lavigne and Savannah Staels; and his siblings, Kenneth Lavigne (Doris Alexander) of Bathurst, Aurele Lavigne of Bathurst, Shirley Boudreau of Bathurst and Lillian Hachey-Lavigne (Adrien Gauther) of South Tetagouche.
