She was predeceased by: her husband David Cormier; her parents, John Devereaux and Exilda "Délia" Devereaux (Chamberlain); and her siblings, Wallace and Albina.

She is survived by: her children, Nathalie Cormier (Tim) of Bathurst and David Jr. (Elizabeth) of Bathurst; her grandchildren, Vanessa, Sébastien and Rebecca; her great grandchildren, Grace, Lukas and Noah; and her siblings, Lawrence Devereaux (Rose-Marie) of Bathurst, Patrick Devereaux (Sandy) of Bathurst, Stella Thériault of Bathurst and Éveline Roy (Edgar) of Bathurst.

Due to covid-19 restrictions, a funeral mass will be celebrated from Sacred Heart Cathedral at a later date.

Donations in memory of Évangeline may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
