He was predeceased by: his parent Clinton Pitre. He is survived by: his parent Marie Rose Pitre (Legacy); his wife Tammy Pitre (Burgess); his children, Kevin of Bathurst, Kendall of Bathurst and Kaylie of Bathurst; his siblings, Bill (Donna) of Moncton and Tracy Pitre (Ivan) of Bathurst; his grandmother Lauza Lagacy (Comeau) of Bathurst; his nieces and nephews, Jenna, Josh, Makayla, Nathan, Meghan, Ryan, Evan and Nate; his mother-in-law Conny Frenette Burgess of Bathurst; his sister-in-law Vicki Grandy of Chatham, ON.; and also Léona Pitre (Noël) of Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the SPCA or a charity of the donors choice.
