He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pitre and Mary Pitre (Aubé); his former wife Theresa Pitre (Lavigne); his children, Vincent and Marie; his siblings, Richard, Alphée and Jeanette; and his former wife Theresa Lavigne.

He is survived by: his wife Vivian Pitre (Kerry); his stepchildren, Jennifer Maclean (Kevin) and Trisia Doiron (Iohann); his sons, Roger and Danny (Colette); his grandchildren, Nicolas (Demy), Renée Arseneau (Cedric), Dylan and Emily; his great grandchild Benjamin; his stepgrandchildren, Maxime, Alexandre, Rosalie, Jaxx and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Leo Pitre (Paula), Anita Poirier, Anna Bertin, Lorraine Gravel (Alain), Yvonne Saulnier (George), Brigitte Gosselin (Raymond) and Simonne Daigle (Roger).
