He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Joseph Hickey and Gertrude Vivian Hickey (LaPointe); and his brothers, Lyman and Glen. He is survived by: his significant other Barb Hinton; and his siblings, Fenton (Carmel) of Bathurst, Wayne (Anita) of Bathurst, Kevin (Jackie) of Bathurst, Darcy (Anna) of Bathurst, Mark (Lisa) of Bathurst, Wendy Harmer (Michael) of Guelph Ontario, Myra Egan (Francois), Gale Seifert (Nick), Darlene Hickey (Jim Squires), Stephanie Talbot (Mike) and Stacy Hickey-Buraglia (Jean-Jacques). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In memory of Granvel, the family would appreciate donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, the SPCA or a charity of the donor's choice.
