He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl T Pitre (Lapointe) and Alexander E Pitre of Bathurst; and his brother Gordon "Gordie" (Jeannine). He is survived by: his children, Shannon (Teresa), Alex (Ashley), Sandra (Dave) and Michael; the mother of his children Donna; his stepchildren, Krystyna (Jeff) and Kara; his grandchildren, Chris, Megan, Victoria, Gregory, Ryan, Brooke, Alyssa and Katie; his sister Donna (Peter); his nephews, Darryl (Paula) and Gary (Doreen); and also Robyn.

Funeral arrangements are being planned for early 2021 and a celebration of Greg's life will take place in the future when Covid-19 constraints are no longer in effect.
